Anderson Wedding, Denver Botanic Gardens {Colorado Wedding Photographers}

Meet Lolly and Brad.  Two of the most laid back relaxed people you could ever meet.  We were so lucky to part of their special day.  The day started off in typical Colorado style sunny blue skies, gorgeous June day at the Denver Botanical Gardens.  If you’re planning a wedding, and have the Botanic Gardens on your list, I highly recommend it. Not only is it absolutely breathtaking- blooms and lush greens everywhere, it also has a healthy dose of art- including Henry Moore‘s tremendous sculptures sprinkled throughout.  Brad and Lolly wanted to have some shots taken before the actual ceremony and we had fun parading them through the different places we scoped out beforehand.  During this time, we got to know them a little better, shared some jokes and certainly got some great shots!  As we were shooting family members started gathering and at one point they started following us, the happy couple looked a nuptial piped piper!

But as the day progressed the afternoon rain clouds started to move in.  The mother of the bride was quick to get the ceremony rolling- it was a brief, simple & elegant ceremony performed by one of their good friends who is also an ordained wedding minister.  There was not a dry eye in the house, including us.  Luckily, they got through the ceremony and photos afterward without a drop on them and just as we got in our cars to head to the reception the clouds opened up.  The reception was held at the Highland’s Garden Cafe, a quaint little restaurant in the Highlands neighborhood with great food.  Lolly and Brad weren’t really into the traditional wedding reception rituals but what they did have was fine wine, delectable entrees, great cake, and a beautiful setting.   Congrats to you both, may you live a long and happy life together!
